This material unites a high melting temperature with very low water absorption. Additionally, it demonstrates enhanced impact resistance and chemical resistance compared to PSU. In addition to these properties, PPSU demonstrates significantly better hot steam serialisability and resistance to cleaning and disinfectants in comparison to the rest of this category of plastics. This material is ideal for use in the handles of dental and surgical instruments and is suitable for contact with food. It is not, however, suitable for production of parts subject to friction or wear. Max. operation temperature in air: 180°C.
